What is a furnace Tune-up and inspection? Why should you do it?

A furnace tune-up is a lot like changing the oil in your car you don’t do it because you want to just spend money, you do it to keep the engine running smoothly and safely for as long as possible. After all cars are not cheap.

Well who wants the system to just run until it breaks? If it does it is usually at the most inconvenient time when it is the hottest day or the coldest day of the year.

I can’t promise that after a tune-up and inspection that your system will not ever break down but I can say that after we tune it up and locate any problems that might exist and repair them as needed the chances of a failure will reduce dramatically.

We at Oneway heating and cooling Recommend a twice a year Tune-up and Inspection basically when you change the clock that’s the time to schedule.

We will not only Tune-up and Inspect your unit, we will be looking for common failure items and assessing them such as but not limited to Capacitor life and function, Control board function and diagnostics, refrigerant level, Humidifier switch and valve function and pad life. It’s kind of like the dealership checking your brakes and telling you when or if they need to be replaced.

We also are very big into safety so we will check your heat exchanger for cracks and carbon monoxide output and may that always be 0.00!

If you do not have a carbon monoxide sensor or sensors in your house we recommend them for safety and peace of mind if you don’t want to bother with it we can install them for you at a discounted rate. (The number varies depending on the size of your house and number of units)
